Introducing the new Luxaflex® Sonnette™ Shades range

If you’re looking for a window treatment solution that offers style, function, privacy and practicality, the new Luxaflex Sonnette ticks all of the boxes.

In this blog, we’ll take a look at the latest offering in the premium Shades range from market leading manufacturer, Luxaflex.

What are Sonnette Shades?

Sonnette Shades is a type of roller blind. Unlike a standard roller blind, which usually comprises of just one layer of fabric, the Sonnette is made  from two layers, much like the Luxaflex Duette.  It can be operated by Luxaflex’s patented LiteRise system, allowing you to easily push up or pull down the blind from a simple grab handle.  There’s also the option to motorise the Sonnette and use the clever SoftTouch system, or automate them with the PowerView hub.

Let’s take a look at some of Sonnette’s best points:

A stylish window treatment for any room in the home

The Sonnette is an elegant, stylish blind that will enhance any room. The fabric gently contours, giving a look of individual vanes.   They work brilliantly in back of house kitchen/living spaces where you can have uniformity between your windows and doors.

They also look great in lounges and bedrooms, where the wide range of fabric textures  to choose from will complete any look you want to achieve.

They help you control light

Sonnette Shades have been engineered to help you control the harsh glare of natural light.  If you select semi-opaque, It transforms natural light into a gentle, soft glow that permeates through your room.  Opt for room darkening opacity, and you can block out the light completely – perfect for bedrooms and privacy.

Thermal control

Much like the Duette range, the dual layer honeycomb composition gives Sonnette Shades excellent thermal properties, helping you to retain or reflect heat as and when you need it.

The main difference to the Duette is rather than stacking and being exposed, to the underside of the headrail, the Sonnette has a stylish cassette with a roller, which conceals the blind when its raised.

openings due to the weight, but if your windows are the right size, you might be pleasantly surprised at how affordable they are.

Final Word

Over the years, Luxaflex have excelled at creating a gap for something new, when hitherto, you didn’t think the product was needed.

Sonnette Shades shares some visual aesthetics to a closed Silhouette, whilst benefiting from the same thermal characteristics of the Duette.   Whilst it doesn’t have the ‘top-down, bottom-up’ option of the Duette, it makes up for this with it’s fresh good looks and ease of use.
